“The beautiful and well proven silver gelatin print is expensive and painstaking to make. Today few photographers make their own prints. Fewer still work in silver gelatin. One of these few is Nan Phelps. Trained as an artist and then as a photographer, she is rigorous in her craft. There are no assistants working in her stead. What she captures she prints.
